LADYDEVIMON
LadyDevimonGroup: Evil - Level: Ultimate - Type: Virus - Attack Techniques: Darkness Wave, Black Wing
LadyDevimon is the bodyguard of Piedmon, the last of the Dark Masters. As Tai, Izzy, Kari, T.K., Sora, their Digimon and Andromon approached Piedmon's observatory base, LadyDevimon asked if she could be allowed to deal with them. Piedmon agreed, and she flew off to battle them at once. The kids' Digimon took her on, with help from Andromon, but Tai realised that they needed help. He set Sora, T.K. and Birdramon and Angemon away to locate Matt, Mimi and Joe, while Angewomon battled LadyDevimon. With help from MegaKabuterimon, she obliterated her with her Heaven's Charm attack.
Four years later, a LadyDevimon was part of the Daemon Corps, who came to Tokyo under the command of Daemon to locate Ken Ichijouji and the Dark Spore within him. It’s probably not the same LadyDevimon, but it MIGHT be her, reborn.

This LadyDevimon promptly got into a catfight with Angewomon (they slapped each other several times, but this was edited out in the US version – this rivalry might also suggest that it IS the same LadyDevimon), and then fled when Garudamon and WereGarurumon arrived. She appeared again shortly thereafter, in pursuit of the truck that Arukenimon had taken Ken away in, so that Oikawa could replicate his Spore. Having since sacrificed her power to Digivolve to Ultimate along with the other Digimon, Gatomon had to DNA Digivolve with Aquilamon into Silphymon to taker her on again. They battled in the sky over the city, but Silphymon was soon grounded. Some teenage boys ran to his aid, thinking it was some guy in a costume. Silphymon warned them to get away, but they didn’t think anyone as pretty as LadyDevimon could be dangerous – until the villainess grabbed one of them and threatened to kill him! Silphymon was too weak to fight back, it look like the boy was done for – until Yolei leapt into the fray, smacking LadyDevimon with a skateboard, causing her to drop the boy. LadyDevimon laughed and lunged at Yolei, claws outstretched... and then promptly deleted, as Silphymon blasted her from behind. Yolei was shocked that Silphymon had done so, but Silphymon explained he didn’t have any other choice.
A LadyDevimon first appears in "Joe's Battle." Both LadyDevimons have their voices supplied by Melodee Spevack.
Name: From the words "lady," and "devil."

"THE LAST TEMPTATION OF THE DIGIDESTINED"

Digimon Adventure 02 episode #49
English version written by Alan Smith
MaloMyotismon subjects the DigiDestined to illusions of their greatest desires, but with the help of their Digimon, and Davis, who has no desires of his own to be exploited, they win through, and use the power of the dimension to make their Digimon Digivolve to all their different forms at once. MaloMyotismon flees into the DigiWorld, and absorbs the darkness there, boosting his power, as he begins to infect both Earth and the DigiWorld with pure darkness!
Episode Trivia: The title of this episode comes from Martin Scorsese's 1988 Biblical movie, "The Last Temptation of Christ."

LEAFMON

LeafmonGroup: Micro – Level: Baby

Leafmon is the Baby form of Wormmon, the Digimon partner of Ken of the DigiDestined. When Wormmon sacrificed himself during Magnamon’s battle with Kimeramon, the Digimon Emperor reverted back into Ken, and returned home, where he fell into a pseudo-coma and dreamed of his past. When he awoke, he had amnesia, unable to recognise his parents – however, he DID recognise the Crest of Kindness and his D-3, and travelled into the DigiWorld, to Primary Village, where he found a Digi-Egg which quickly hatched into Leafmon – the reborn form of Wormmon.

Leafmon quickly Digivolved into Minomon, then to Wormmon, and even on to Stingmon, then reappeared after Stingmon and ExVeemon combined into Paildramon, and then split back into their Baby forms. Leafmon and Chibomon became very close after this experience.

Leafmon continued to appear with Chibomon every time Paildramon separated back into his constituent parts – at the Giga House after the first battle with Arukenimon, after the various battles to protect the Destiny Stones, and to listen to Azulongmon’s tale. Leafmon’s last appearance was after the battle at Christmas, when all the DigiDestined fought together to send wild Digimon back to the DigiWorld. After this, Paildramon gained the power to Digivolve to the Mega level, and after separating, his constituents would be at the Rookie level. As such, Ken’s Leafmon didn’t appear again.

However, twenty-five years into the future, Ken and Yolei’s baby (sex unknown) has a Leafmon for a partner.

Leafmon first appears in “Genesis of Evil.” His voice is supplied by Wendee Lee.

Name: From “leaf,” naturally.

"THE LEGEND OF THE DIGIDESTINED"
Digimon Adventure episode #13
English version written by Rebecca Olkowski and John Ludin
Leomon tells the kids of an ancient prophecy regarding them, and the final battle with Devimon takes place, wherein Angemon makes his first appearance to win the day.

LEOMON
LeomonGroup: Animal - Level: Champion - Type: Vaccine - Attack Techniques: Fist of the Beast King, Beast Sword
Leomon was one of the first Digimon that the DigiDestined kids met on File Island - but their first meeting wasn't a happy one! Leomon had been infected with a Black Gear by Devimon, the evil Digimon who was preparing to take over File Island, and when Devimon launched his attack on the kids, Leomon and his other servant, Ogremon, were by his side. As Devimon used his powers to hurl the kids through the air, Tai fell to the ground in front of Leomon and Devimon, and tried to explain that they had arrived in the DigiWorld by accident. Devimon wasn't accepting the boy's speech, even though it was the truth, as he knew they were the DigiDestined, even though they themselves were unaware of the fact at the time. However, light from Tai's Digivice drove the Black Gear out of Leomon's body, and Leomon used his sword to hack the edge off the cliff that Tai and Agumon were standing on, sending them away and keeping them safe from Devimon. Leomon turned back to Devimon and prepared to battle, but was quickly infected with another Black Gear and was under Devimon's thrall once more.
The kids were all separated, and Mimi and Izzy had found their way to a temple in the middle of the jungle, where they met Centarumon and freed him from another gear. Then, Leomon arrived, and he and Centarumon battled, until the power of Mimi and Izzy's Digivices began to force the Black Gear out of him again, and he fled before it could happen.
T.K. and Patamon, meanwhile, had found their way to Primary Village, where they were having fun. However, Leomon soon made his way there, and attacked, but Tai and Matt arrived in the nick of time to save him, as their Digimon fought Leomon. Then, Izzy and Mimi arrived, and explained what the Digivices could do. As more gears flew into Leomon's body, making him even stronger, the kids used their Digivices to force the gears from him, and destroy them. Leomon then explained that the kids were the "DigiDestined" - a group of predestined children who would save the DigiWorld from destruction. Leomon aided the kids in the final battle with Devimon, who had absorbed the Black Gears into himself, and grown to an enormous height. Sora and Joe showed up a little later, but even they couldn't turn the tide. Then, the impossible happened, and Patamon Digivolved into Angemon for the first time, sacrificing himself to destroy Devimon.
Leomon and the other Digimon from the island then helped the kids build a raft which would take them to the continent of Server. Their adventures there took them back to Earth, to stop the plans of Myotismon. While they were gone, years passed in the DigiWorld, and four Mega level Digimon known as the Dark Masters arose to conquer the world. Leomon discovered that the repeated exposure to the Digivices he had 'suffered' had endowed him with the ability to Digivolve into SaberLeomon (a Mega level, meaning he was somehow bypassing the Ultimate level). Despite the Dark Masters conquering of the world, he and Ogremon continued to fight the war that they had been fighting for as long as either of them could remember. However, when Ogremon was injured by what was apparently a meteor, Joe and Mimi (who had recently returned to the DigiWorld with the other DigiDestined, but had left the group because they didn't want to fight any more) nursed him back to health, and he agreed to help them deal with the Dark Masters. After a battle with MetalEtemon and Puppetmon, Joe, Mimi and Ogremon were approached by SaberLeomon, who led them away, back to Digitamamon's diner, where he de-Digivolved back into Leomon, and explained to them what had happened. Leomon refused to fight Ogremon, as there was a greater evil to be dealt with.
MetalEtemon successfully tracked them down, and Leomon Digivolved to SaberLeomon to battle him. During the battle, he was struck down by a beam of dark energy, and then, Zudomon destroyed MetalEtemon. SaberLeomon reverted back to Leomon, who made his peace with Ogremon, and then died, his body dissolving into digi-dust, to be reborn at Primary Village.
After the kids defeated the remaining Dark Masters and Apocalymon, the DigiWorld was reformatted to normalcy, and Primary Village was restored. A hail of Digi-Eggs fell from the sky, each one a reborn friend of the DigiDestined's, including Leomon.
Four years later, a Leomon appeared with all the Digimon of the World's DigiDestined during the final battle with MaloMyotismon.
Leomon first appears in "Evil Shows His Face." His voice is supplied by Paul St. Peter.

Name: From the Latin word, "leo," meaning lion.

"LET'S KICK IT UP”

Track 15 on the “Digimon: The Movie” soundtrack (hidden track number 3), by Paul Gordon, which plays after Omnimon appears as he battles the Diaboromon clones. It is also used as a battle theme for Digimon Adventure 02, making it’s debut in “Old Reliable.” It is also the last piece battle theme used in the series, in “Digimon World Tour, Pt. 2,” after which no battle themes were used for the remainder of the series. LIGHT, CREST OF
The Crest of LightThe Crest of Light is the Crest of Kari of the DigiDestined. As Kari had not accompanied the other seven kids to the DigiWorld at first, she had no way of obtaining her Crest at the same time as they did. Instead, the Crest was found by the evil vampire Digimon, Myotismon, who realised that with it, he could find the Eighth Child - the predestined eighth member of the DigiDestined - and destroy them, allowing him to conquer both Earth and the DigiWorld. At the time, nobody was aware that Kari was the Eighth Child, as Myotismon opened a portal to Earth, and led his armies into Central Odaiba, to search for her. Myotismon created numerous copies of Kari's Crest, and gave one each to his minions. The copies would react to the child's presence, enabling her to be identified, but they had no other uses. When Wizardmon found Kari's Digivice, he used it to prove to Kari that she was the Eighth Child, and that Gatomon, one of Myotismon's lieutenants, was actually her Digimon! Wizardmon and Gatomon snuck into Myotismon's crypt in search of Kari's original Crest, and seemed to find it in Myotismon's coffin. However, Myotismon himself then appeared, enraged, holding up what he said was the original Crest, and then crushing it. After a battle, he hurled Wizardmon into Odaiba Bay, and captured Gatomon, planning to use her to identify the Eighth Child.
Shortly, Joe and T.K., heading into Odaiba across it's bay on Zudomon's back, found Wizardmon, and dragged him out of the water. He produced Kari's Crest from under his cape, and claimed he had to get it to her.
The dub is very confusing on this, because it doesn’t explain how Wizardmon got Kari’s Crest, if Myotismon crushed it. In actuality, Wizardmon DID find the real one in the coffin, and Myotismon was attempting to trick him with another copy..
T.K. and Joe brought Wizardmon to the Odaiba TV station, where the other kids and their Digimon were engaged in battle with Myotismon, and he gave her the Crest. When Wizardmon sacrificed himself to save Kari from Myotismon's Grizzly Wing attack, her emotion displayed at his death charged her Digivice, forcing DemiDevimon, who had grabbed it earlier, to drop it, allowing her to reclaim it, and use it and her Crest to Digivolve Gatomon to Angewomon. Angewomon destroyed Myotismon. When he reformed himself as VenomMyotismon, the Crest of Light and the other Crests were instrumental in defeating him.
When Kari recovered after falling ill during the battle with Machinedramon, she began to glow with a bizarre light that energised Digimon. (We can only assume that this light is somehow related to her Crest, but it has yet to be explained.)
The Crest of Light was destroyed - along with the other Crests - by Apocalymon but Kari and the kids realised that the power was not in the Crests, but inside them, and had been all along.
At some point during the next four years, Kari gave up the powers associated with the Crest of Light, as the other kids did with their Crests, to seal the DigiWorld off from evil, rendering Gatomon unable to Digivolve to the Ultimate level.
The Crest of Light first appears in "The Gateway To Home." Kari finally obtains it in "Wizardmon's Gift." It plays an important role, obviously enough, in "The Crest of Light" - it is this episode title that indicates to us that Kari's light is related to her crest. The Crest of Light was destroyed in "Now Apocalymon"

LIGHT, DIGI-EGG OF

The Digi-Egg of LightThe Digi-Egg of Light is held by Kari of the DigiDestined, and is used to Armour Digivolve Gatomon into Nefertimon.

With Gatomon’s Tail Ring lost, her strength had greatly decreased, and when the kids were attacked by an army of the Digimon Emperor’s Tyrannomon, she and Kari, along with T.K. and Patamon (who was unable to Digivolve due to the Control Spires) fled the battlefield. Kari and T.K.’s Digivices began to pick up the signals of Digi-Eggs nearby, and in a cave, they discovered the Digi-Eggs of Light and Hope. They used them to transform Gatomon and Patamon into Nefertimon and Pegasusmon, who quickly rounded up the Tyrannomon. The Digi-Egg of Light was then stored within Kari’s D-Terminal, to be called on whenever it was needed.

When the kids were in MaloMyotismon’s dream dimension, that world’s magic allowed the Digimon to split into all their forms at once. The Digi-Egg of Light transformed into Nefertimon, who then faded away when the Digimon tried to enter the DigiWorld.

The Digi-Egg of Light first appears in “A New Digitude.” It was never actually shown to transform into Nefertimon in “The Last Temptation of the DigiDestined,” instead we simply got the normal Digivolve sequence, but this is what happened with the Digi-Eggs of Courage and Friendship, so it’s safe to assume the same applies to Light. It’s not clear if the fading away of the Nefertimon avatar means that the Digi-Egg of Light no longer exists, but it’s a good bet.

LILLYMON
LillymonGroup: Vegetation - Level: Ultimate - Type: Data - Attack Techniques: Flower Cannon, Flower Ring
Lillymon Digivolves from Togemon, the Champion level Digimon of Mimi of the DigiDestined. She might look beautiful, but beware of her powerful Flower Cannon attack! At times, Lillymon is just as likely to fly away as she is to fight.
Lillymon first appeared during Myotismon's assault on the real world. The evil Digimon had captured the majority of Central Odaiba's populous, and imprisoned them in a convention centre, intent on finding the Eighth Child, the predestined eighth member of the DigiDestined. Among the captives were Mimi and her family, along with Sora. Sora used a mind-over-matter trick she had learned from Joe to weaken the Bakemon guarding them, but then, DarkTyrannomon showed up to stop the humans from escaping. Palmon Digivolved to Togemon to fight him. However, when the dino Digimon threatened her parents' life, Mimi's Crest began to glow, and Togemon became Lillymon, who used her powers to suppress the computer virus that made DarkTyrannomon evil. Myotismon himself then arrived, and used his Nightmare Claw attack to defeat Lillymon. Thanks to timely intervention from her mother and Biyomon, Sora was able to escape with Lillymon, who was the healed of the Nightmare Claw's effects by Wizardmon. Lillymon participated in the final battle with Myotismon, where she leant her power to Angewomon, who used it and the power of the other Digimon to destroy him. When he returned as VenomMyotismon, WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon, backed up by the power of all the kids' Crests, finished him off.
Palmon returned to the DigiWorld with Mimi, and Digivolved to Lillymon for the first battle with the Dark Masters. She then Digivolved again to fight Scorpiomon and again to fight the Garbagemon. Following that, Matt was tricked into fighting Tai by Cherrymon. Matt left the team, and Mimi decided that she didn't want to fight any more, and left also. Joe accompanied her, and they ran into trouble in the form of MetalEtemon. Mimi was afraid to make Palmon Digivolve, because she could get hurt, or worse, so it was not until the last battle with Piedmon that Lillymon appeared again. She then partook in the two battles with Apocalymon, after which the DigiWorld was restored to normalcy and the kids returned home.
In May 2000, Palmon lost her ability to Digivolve to Ultimate when Mimi and the other kids gave up the powers of their Crests to seal the DigiWorld off from evil.

Four years later, at Christmas, Palmon was sent to Earth by the new DigiDestined, as Mimi’s Christmas “present.” However, wild Digimon soon began to appear all over Earth as Arukenimon opened all the Digi-Ports. The Japanese DigiDestined headed off all around the world to meet up with other DigiDestined and send the Digimon back to the DigiWorld. Davis arrived in New York and met up with Mimi and Michael, as well as Benjamin, the American counterpart of Gennai. Benjamin utilised some of the power of Azulongmon’s Digi-Core given to him by Gennai, and restored Palmon’s ability to Digivolve to Ultimate. Palmon promptly Digivolved to Lillymon, and then everyone headed for Rockafeller Centre to stop a Cherrymon that had gone on a rampage there. When the Cherrymon was subdued, Lillymon set about guiding all the other Digimon in the city to Central Park, where they would be returned to the DigiWorld. Mimi’s parents spotted Lillymon, recognising her from the events in Odaiba four years previously, and followed her to the park. However, the Digimon had already been sent back to the DigiWorld by the time they arrived.

As Palmon was not at the battle with the Daemon Corps in Tokyo, she did not give up her portion of the Digi-Core energy to Imperialdramon the way the other seven Digimon did. As such, there is no reason to believe that she cannot still Digivolve into Lillymon.

Lillymon first appears in "Flower Power." Her voice is supplied by Dorothy Elias-Fahn.
Name: From the English word, "lily," a type of flower.

LOU

LouLou is a Native American DigiDestined, partnered with a Tortomon. When Digimon were appearing all over the real world, Lou showed up in Rockafeller Centre to help Davis, Mimi, Michael and the other American DigiDestined subdue an irate Cherrymon. Davis was overly distressed to discover that Lou had never heard of him.

Lou later reappeared when the Digimon of the world's DigiDestined united against MaloMyotismon.

Lou first appears in “Digimon World Tour, Pt. 1.” His voice is supplied by Dan Lorge.

LOVE, CREST OF
The Crest of LoveThe Crest of Love is the Crest of Sora of the DigiDestined. Sora was the last of the original seven kids to obtain her Crest. When Izzy latched up to a terminal of Etemon's Dark Network, he received an e-mail from someone claiming they were being held prisoner in Etemon's pyramid, and if they freed him, he'd take them to Sora's Crest. It turned out the prisoner was Datamon, and the kids freed him, but he double-crossed them and kidnapped Sora and Biyomon, planning to create a digital duplicate of the girl which could use her Crest, but would be under his control. When Tai saved her, she snatched her Crest back from Datamon.
When Tai disappeared following the final battle with Etemon, the group broke up and was targeted by DemiDevimon, who was working for Myotismon. He told Sora that her Crest would never glow because she didn't know what love was. Sora tried to prove her love for the other DigiDestined by saving them from DemiDevimon's machinations, but nothing worked. It was not until Myotismon himself attacked the team that Sora's refusal to allow Biyomon to fight him showed her that she really did know love, and felt it for Biyomon. Her Crest glowed, and Biyomon Digivolved to Garudamon to beat Myotismon back.
The Crest of Love, like all the other Crests, was destroyed by Apocalymon, but Sora and the other kids realised that it was not what held the power - the power was inside all of them, and always had been.
At some point during the next four years, Sora gave up the powers associated with the Crest of Love, as the other kids did with their Crests, to seal the DigiWorld off from evil, rendering Biyomon unable to Digivolve to the Ultimate level.
The Crest of Love was first mentioned in Datamon's e-mail in "Prisoner of the Pyramid." It first appeared in the following episode, “The Earthquake of MetalGreymon.”

LOVE, DIGI-EGG OF

The Digi-Egg of LoveThe Digi-Egg of Love belongs to Yolei of the DigiDestined, and is used on Hawkmon to Armour Digivolve him into Halsemon.

When Yolei and Cody made their first trip into the DigiWorld, they were attacked by minions of the Digimon Emperor. Davis and Veemon were captured, but Yolei and Cody, along with Sora and Izzy, fled. Yolei and Cody’s D-3s began picking up a signal, which led them to a temple in the jungle, where they discovered the Digi-Eggs of Love and Knowledge. Sora was unable to lift the Digi-Egg of Love, nor was Izzy able to life the Digi-Egg of Knowledge. They both suggested that Yolei and Cody tried – and they were able to lift them with ease, releasing their partner Digimon, Hawkmon and Armadillomon. Yolei was horrified at the notion of having to fight, but Sora reassured her, telling her how Mimi had felt the same during their adventures, telling her how she would help her and be her friends. Yolei cried out “Digi-Armour Energise!” and Hawkmon became Halsemon, to help Digmon free Davis and Veemon from the Emperor’s clutches.

The Digi-Egg of Love was stored within Yolei’s D-Terminal, to be called on whenever it was needed. Towards the end of the year, when the kids were drawn into MaloMyotismon’s dream dimension, the kids used the power of this other world to make a dream of their own come true – and their Digimon all Digivolved into their different forms at once. The Digi-Egg of Love transformed into Halsemon, but when all the Digimon attempted to pass through the portal, only the “real” incarnation of Hawkmon could go through, while Halsemon faded away.

The Digi-Egg of Love first appears in “The Digiteam Complete.” It was never actually shown to transform into Halsemon in “The Last Temptation of the DigiDestined,” instead we simply got the normal Digivolve sequence, but this is what happened with the Digi-Eggs of Courage and Friendship, so it’s safe to assume the same applies to Love. It’s not clear if the fact that the Halsemon avatar faded away means that the Digi-Egg of Love ceased to exist, but it’s very likely.
